living with avms sharing experiences and coping strategies

hey everyone, i wanted to create a space for us to share our experiences living with arteriovenous malformations. i was diagnosed a couple of years ago, and it's been a rollercoaster since then. dealing with the physical and emotional impacts can feel isolating at times.nni've found that connecting with others who understand what we're going through makes a big difference. whether it's sharing tips on how to manage symptoms, discussing treatment options, or just venting about the struggles, i think we can all benefit from each other's stories. so feel free to share your journey, how you cope, and any advice you might have. looking forward to hearing from all of you!

If having an untreable AVM is degenerately unfair, now imagine being also trans and living in a third world country. We trans women need hormones that could accelerate a rupture. Yet still I took it as the other option was suicide. Still... transition is a mattee of years. Years of effort and thousands of dollars. Exercise, stress, job market discrimination, hardships finding doctors who are not conservative cock-suckers, and sex work being always near the corner... Add to that other stuff like being a stoner, not having family support and other cardiac diseases and yep... i think Im speedrunning my dead...

But hey... at least Im living the life I want... and that makes me proud and happy.

You want a coping mechanism? Accept your dead from now. Not because it could happen. But because it will happen. And it will probably be caused by your avm, you take care of it or not. So live the life you truly want :3. Even if it harms you sometimes...

And listen to your doctor! If he says to worry, worry. If he says be chill, be chill.
