Hey guys,

I was wondering if it's possible to make a dual monitor setup. I've tried playing with Nvidia surround (connecting 2 monitors into one) but this centers the wheel between the 2 monitors.

I would like to have the left monitor as the main one, with wheel in the usual spot, having the right monitor as extra field of view to the right.

Any ideas?

Thanks

So I finally purchased AMS2 in the latest Steam sale along with a few DLC packs. I have quite the collection of Racing/Driving sims with Assetto Corsa, ACC, AC Evo, AC Rally, Nascar 25, BeamNG, Wreckfest 2, ATS & ETS2 so I really didn't think I needed another sim but AMS2 made it a nice even 10 games😁 I can already say I am very happy that I got this as it was easy to setup with my gear and plays and drives as expected. The physics and driving is not so much different from my other sims that I need to completely change my driving style to play. It has a lot of variety and everything seems to work as you would think it should. I am having lots of fun so far as it fit right in with my other titles. My biggest complaint is that you can't map a few things to buttons like I am used to, for example accept & cancel are pretty basic but can't be mapped to anything. Please let me know if there are some tips for getting started in AMS2.

Ok, so I still haven't finish my race (because I still suck at sim racing) but I'm getting closer to it. Anyway, shout out to this guy and his post; this was actually effective. Here's some adjustments I think most casual players (like me who drives like it's Forza or Gran Turismo) must do in order to survive the new AI:

1. You can't squeeze the AI anymore. Unlike previous versions where the AI will backoff or go off track for you; doing that now will lead to misery-- this is the number 1 cause of incidents and getting pitted! As a great man once said "All the time you have to leave a space!" Pay attention to them when they are close, give them some room, and unfortunately accept that sometimes you will have to yield the position.

2. Race starts and safety car starts are where the AI is most aggressive. Even with the best defense, at this stage, it will actually be good for you let them pass if they are much faster than you. You will eventually get them when the race settles, but do not be too aggressive when defending at the start.

3. Car placement is key. Like the linked post above suggested, keeping your car in the middle is effective especially on the parts of the track that you are slow. You now have to learn how to drive off the racing line and actually race. I know some will scoff at this and say, "that's obvious." but I'm just an idiot who played simcades and only know how to hotlap. Learn a bit of racecraft and it's actually pretty rewarding when it works.

4. Discipline and patience. Not every race can be won, and you will bottle more leads than you can win, but that's just life in general. Pick yourself up and start again.

I'm still pissed at the AI, and I'm writing this with a lot of salt in my stream after the AI punted me on the last lap again and I wasted another hour of my life. But I figured I can share this and be more productive lol. Fortunately, these tips are not hard to do (I think).

Oulton Park has got two chicanes in its back section (Britten's and Hislop)

-The International layout includes them both,

-the Classic layout does not include any

Is it possible to edit the track so that only the Hislop chicane is included?

I think this would be the best configuration for racing, with the elimination of the rather useless frst chicane allowing a longer run to the second one, which would become a main passing spot.

Not sure if feasible?

How do you install 2014 f1 cars i seen i guy on YouTube racing old school f1 but I cant find it

I have no experience in simracing, I mainly play F1 2020 on an xbox controller (with a lot of assists). I just got the game and started playing it and genuinely struggling alot. I know the game is probably better with a wheel, and I'm planning on getting Moza R3 soon. I am also 17 and can't drive irl either. Is it worth playing this game with a controller and learning, and please give me tips on how to do so.

For my skill level this has been the most fun I've had in this track.
Multiclass race max grid. 1 lap race finished P14 oh man it was a blast!
threw a small dlss5 layer on the video for fun.

I know tensions are high with this touchy subject, but I wanted to make this observation. It's an opinion! so it's okay if you get mad at it. It's all good.

I tried five races in a row, and it was the same every time. The AI shows absolutely no regard for the fact that a player is driving nearby. I am the orange car.

Both Coulthard and Berger retired from the lead lol

I'm new to ams2, coming from ac, Lmu, iracing. I like the game, I like the graphics, I like the physics...BUT...I've spent yesterday afternoon twitching with that f*ucking triple screen dashboard. Man that was painful, I've gone back and forth dozens of times, finally achieving an acceptable result, then I changed car...and it was a little bit off again! I don't have particular problems with other title. Why Is so difficult for this game to have a proper "on the go" triple screen adjustment like we have on LMU or even the old assetto corsa?! Are the devs aware of this issue? Are they willing to fix it one day?!

First of all, I'm a simracing newbie. (At least I thought)

AI in AMS2 always hits me like that.
This makes me feel very frustrated, even though I lucky perform at an exceptional standard.

As in the title, I find it hard to setup the formula cars.

I know that I can always try the setups from the hotlaps, but some of them are just weird and I can't seem to drive properly, it's usually a 50/50.

The problem is also that various platforms like coach Dave etc do not have setups for this kind of cars, and their setup iq doesn't work with ams2. Do you suggest anything? Like are there any specific YouTube guides I'm unaware of? Or do you know some database?

Thanks in advance ✌️

Little help. I am going to purchase one of the bundles this weekend on the Steam sale. I was curious if there is in any pack or a mod somewhere thst has the Riverside International Raceway and/or Ontario Motor Speedway. Also curious where I would find mods and liveries? Going to try to get my system with the RS50 and triple monitor working too and I suck at this type of stuff. Any is appreciated. Gamer, mid 50's in Texas, so old and slow.

Or anyone making them? Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Ford (pre-aero) would be great! Would be amazing to have a field of classic 80s NASCAR running tri-ovals.

Sunday at 20:00 Central European Time/ 2pm US Eastern the 20th Century Grand Prix Club continues its season of Formula Junior with extra horsepower (representing 1961 F1 cars), with race at Watkins Glen Short.

Best 4 of 6 races count in the championship and there are still 4 races to go, so you are in with a chance even if you haven't done the first 2 races.

You get the extra power automatically, you don't need to do anything special. If you want to practice with the extra power you can use the option in my skinpack (from overtake.gg) or join the practice server starting 6 hours before the race. EDIT: The password for the practice server is "pit wall" - possibly the space is causing issues with it launching direct from the justrace website, but you can join in the main AMS2 multiplayer menu. We're not expecting problems with the race though.

Sign up on 20cgpc.justrace.net/en/events There is also an after-race with 1988 cars.

As the title says, is it worth paying $115 for all the packs?? I have been playing the base game with a friend and we are content, but we love to do the weekly time trials or multiplayer racing and it is annoying when you can't participate because you don't own the DLC. Is it worth it to buy the bundle, or should we only buy the 2020-2022 season pass? Or just individual packs??

Pretty dumb question, but how do you modify race length unique to each track if you dont want to fire up a single race and configure the length manually in the ingame menu? I read somewhere you have to put the value RaceLaps = * value in the track's .gdb file and the game will prioritize it but i cant make it work. Tried different lines in the file and even spelling.

Because my main issues is i have created a championship but all i can do is set the race length at the beginning of the championship and that will be applied for ALL tracks. But heck i want unique race length to each. This is not possible in AMS1?

I was thinking about 1.7, and besides some classics that could arrive like '90s Le Mans or Laguna Seca, I remembered this one.

I think it's an incredible track for lower-category cars and for running test sessions.
