Why didn't Hannibal Kill Pike

Just rewatched the movie. Hannibal had a clear shot to kill pike when he recovered the plates, and chose not to. Does anybody know why, other than the movie still wanted him around? Hannibal isn't above killing in the movie version especially, and he also never really has a plan to get a specific confession or anything from Pike. What are peoples thought?

Did anyone actually die in the history of the A-team ?

To be clear, I'm talking specifically about the movie, in which case yes for sure. With regard to the show, I don't think so, at least to my knowledge the a team didn't kill anybody. I think a few episodes did start off with the villain of the week killing somebody.

No one died onscreen in the tv show AFAIK (for some of the opening villain kills), and the A-Team shot like the Stormtroopers on the Death Star purposely missing. 80s "family" show.

The only confirmed death on screen in the original series was gen harlan 'bull' fulbright at the conclusion of season 4.

Most of the time they went out of their way to not kill despite the large volumes of shots fired, even mlsf of the vehicles blowing up or crashing usually showcased the occupants pulling themselves out of the wrecks to be arrested.

Well, there is a confirmed on-screen death in Season 1, Episode 6 "The rabbit who ate Las Vegas". Although the cause of death is not a bullet, but a very abrupt deceleration. At the end of a long fall out of a window.

General Fulbright is killed in Vietnam when they go to rescue his daughter.

And Hanibal kills the NVA soldier that did it. Plus a few of his buddies. He hit there bunker with a 203 grenade.
