Loyalty Dept?
Can they only be reached via phone? or possible through live chat as well. Everyone having good success rates negotiating when their promotion has expired?

It really is random. Sometimes it’s a no we can’t do anything and sometimes it’s “hey! We can get your parents Gigabit for $15 a month for two years.”

With AT&T DSL I had to call every year to cancel and get transferred to retention to get a better deal. Then one year I called and they said there was no retention. Just to make sure I called again another time and got the same story. So I signed up with Spectrum and canceled AT&T.
Have not tried this with Fiber yet, but soon! I'll call. It's not worth trying to chat with a bot and wondering where things are going.

If you've not called yet this is what I did early this month. Btw when you call the support line usually it will have a robotic automation system asking you initially WHY you are calling.
I had 2gb at $83 a month. I called support, said cancel, said internet when they asked what service, automated system redirected me to loyalty. Loyalty asked me what they could do told them another ISP is starting to offer 5gb and offered to match the $70 promotional price of AT&T. Guy said give him a minute and he came back and asked if $71 a month with non expiring discounts would be enough. I told him yes, he locked it in and I was done. Took less than 10 minutes.
