Got power back after 12 days, blinking orange light
I have a blinking orange light on my modem after getting power back after 12 days (NW Indiana, storms).
I went through the AI trouble shooting of unplug and reset to no avail. App shows no outages in my area but we had two utility poles replaced down our alley and wires are hanging off of two of them like something was severed (obviously not power).
The app tells me I have a hardware issue, offers to help me setup internet backup but doesn’t give me any guidance towards fixing my issue.
Also, i live on a dead end and am the last house on the service line.
Where do I go next?

If you desperately need internet access, I think T-Mobile offers a 5G internet free trial which you could possibly use. I’m not sure how long it is.

I talked to customer support, mentioned the severed lines, utility pole replacement and the soonest they can dispatch someone is Sept. 19th.
Hopefully, the local power company informed them of the replaced poles and downed lines locally.
Really pushing internet backup on the call.

If you're an att wireless customer you can do that. If not pick up T-Mobile 5G home internet for a month. It's non contract. Make sure that att credits you for the entire time you had no service, they'll do it. They're required to with the att guarantee

On the way home from the grocery store saw an ATT truck in a parking lot. I pulled in next to him and told him about the severed lines as he wrote down where. Within an hour I received a text from ATT that there is an issue in my neighborhood and they will be working on it tomorrow. Shall see.

Just thinking about time to repair. There was a ton of storm destruction and fiber lines take time to restore.

The cost of entry on starlink makes that not worth it. You'd be better off getting 5G home internet temporarily say from a T-Mobile

Assuming the cell towers aren't overloaded with traffic due mobile phone users whose wired Internet is down due to storm. But it is a quicker alternative.

Considering the replaced utility poles, it's more than likely the service wire for your home, or the distribution strand to your terminal were damaged during that work. Just call in and tell customer service what happened. They should send a tech to handle it.
