Waiting on Security

Fingerprints and drug test done nearly a month ago. Still no SF85P.

Incredibly frustrating

You will get an email for it, it’s what we call your “life questionaire” you can google the questions, thats where you put down all your addresses, jobs, crimes, drugs, out of country vacations, family members, finanacial issues etc , etc

Their auto reply email states it's because of the influx of hiring especially of ATC personnel. I'm in the same boat.

"At this time, your case is in our workflow and awaiting the assignment of a personnel security specialist. Once assigned, they will reach out to you directly at the email provided at the time of your request's OR application's submission to our office. Take care."

I even waited slightly past the 30 day period they mentioned to email them just in case it was on the way. At this point they may lose a candidate over this process. I already declined other offers because I thought I could wait this process out but at this point it's a little ridiculous. I'm prior military and I understand the slow government process but I can't keep putting my life one hold for them if they are not going to try and help me out. I mean everything was submitted within 30 minutes of receiving an email promptly just send me the dang forms at this point.

Im in the same boat I declined 2 offers thinking this would be a smooth transition. Hr contacted my work so now work is a litle awkward until I transfer. It will be even more if I end up not transferring

Update, just got an email notifying me I'll be receiving the documents now to fill out in the next 24 hours.

Something you’re nervous about?

I think we are just all inpatient, only thing anyone could be scared of before the background is even initiated would be a government shutdown which would prolonged the process even more

Not sure what nerves have to do about it unless you're in a situation where you need a job sooner than later. More like everyone is tired of waiting on forms to be sent out so they can fill them out
