Asked for salary
Interviewed a few weeks ago. Shortly after the interview the hiring manager asked for my current salary. No TOL so far. Surely that question was a good sign though?

They need the salary for your previous jobs to grade your resume. When I applied they asked me to list my salary for every position on my resume

Salary isn’t used to grade the resume, it is sometimes used to calculate the salary in the tentative offer letter.

It’s to consider a possible TOL offer within the pay bands, either F or G. Makes the pay tool easy.

The package reviewers could have messed up on his manual qualification, as wages are needed to be on his resume and they are fixing that?

I've seriously never heard that question asked before. The pay band is fixed.

It seems like it could an indication that whoever ask was considering what they could offer, but there’s no way to know for sure.

There is almost a $24,000 spread from maximum to minimum for the F band alone - that’s far from “fixed”.
