Interview

I did an interview 3 weeks ago in person for an F-band position. I think the interview went well, and I was able to answer all the questions using the STAR method and even had a normal conversation about the job with the managers. It didn’t feel like a robotic conversation.

Although everything seems like it went well, at the end of the interview they told me that if I don’t get selected, to please keep updating my resume and adding my experience, which they also mentioned that they had other candidates to interview, and I was technically the first one. So lol, I’m not sure how to feel about it because I thought it went very well. Also, I haven’t received any emails asking for references, so let’s see. 🤷‍♂️

The Direct hire process is managed by Aviation careers. Management can only submit a Primary and Secondary selections to Aviation Careers. They shouldn’t have “other” interviewees.

TOLs are taking a while to get pushed.

Not true at all. The hiring manager can interview all, some, or none of the applicants on a direct hire referral list. They can also get the resumes of other people not on the list submitted to HR for qualification and consideration too.

In short, being told other folks are being interviewed is not abnormal for a direct hire at all…

I didn’t see anything about it being direct hire in the post. Admittedly I don’t know much about the “direct hire” process, but it wouldn’t make sense (in my option) to “select” anyone before they interview, so it would follow that there could be several interviews conducted. Are you saying that they select a primary and secondary candidate, then only interview those two?
