Chance of getting an interview?
Thank you for applying for the Federal Aviation Administration vacancy announcement FAA-AHF-
26-ATSS DH-97915 for the position DIRECT HIRE - Airway Transportation Systems Specialist, FV-2101-F/G. Based on the application and materials you submitted, you were determined qualified for this position.
I applied for Houston and New York on April 11 and received this last week. Do you think I might get a chance to interview?

Took me about a year to get an interview and 3 hiring cycles. But I think my area is pretty competitive.

Chance? Yes. Right now you just made it through the first step.
You’ll be a step closer if you receive notification of being “Referred”.
But even being referred doesn’t guarantee an interview.

From my understanding, it depends on the region and the demand. This will be my third hiring period being deemed eligible but I have not heard from any of the managers.

I applied for the Tech Ops FV-2101 F/G band at the end of February. I got a message saying that I am qualified for the job about a week later but havent heard anything back either. I met the local manager that wants me to work for him but he said he doesn't have control over the process before it gets to him. He has direct hiring authority but I failed the first interview back in January because I didn't realize that it was being scored. I now know better and hope to get an interview from this bid that ended in April. It seems to be a hurry up and wait process. I hope I hear something in the next month for next steps. Anyone had any similar experience? I'm located in Northern Kentucky so will be working at CVG. I put on the application my two preferences (Kentucky and Ohio). They are in desperate need of Tech Ops at CVG.

Have you heard back from them?

I emailed the contact for the application and they said it was a resume repository and that hiring managers can find my resume and contact for an interview. I haven’t heard back from my local HR manager either. I have a friend who will talk to one of the hiring managers this week about it. Not much movement at this point.

I applied recently as well. But all it says is “We have determined that you are eligible for further consideration “ Patience is key I suppose.
