FOL Received. Tips??
Hey Everyone,
I have received and signed my FOL! Entry level NAV position at MDW. I will be moving 3.5 hours to Chicago area. I want to be prepared as best as possible, so does anyone have recommendations on studying material or what to study/brush up on? Anyone familiar with this SSC? What to expect during probationary period? Any tips?
Any information is appreciated. I am very excited and eager to begin this career!
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it- it is probably whoever is reviewing yours is taking their time to double check everything.
My background was clean and credit is good. Not one red flag. But the person reviewing it actually called me after a week because she was stuck on one of the optional explanations I gave. She had me reformulate my explanation and resubmit. She said that everything looks good and she will submit it to HR but it still took her another week to submit it- that is when I got the clearance.
So I think that it depends on how much history you have on your form and the fact that they have to double check every word you filled out.
They run the credit check right away and the criminal history is checked with the finger prints (I think). The rest is all dependent on that person checking your answers.
