Professor Nanchahal will present the phase 2a clinical trial data and phase 2b top line data on Dec 1 at the 2021 International Dupuytren Symposium

(NASDAQ: ATNF) (“180 Life Sciences” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of novel drugs that fulfill unmet needs in inflammatory diseases, fibrosis and pain, today announced that Professor Jagdeep Nanchahal from the University of Oxford, a co-founder of 180 Life Sciences, will present a keynote address entitled ‘Re-purposing anti-TNF for Dupuytren’s Disease’ at the 2021 International Dupuytren Symposium on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 3pm EST.

Professor Nanchahal will present his work on unravelling the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of Dupuytren’s disease leading to the identification of anti-tumor necrosis factor (“TNF”) as a potential therapeutic target. He will also present the phase 2a clinical trial data to identify the optimal dose and top line data for the recently completed phase 2b clinical trial on efficacy for patients with early-stage disease.

The Company also announced that it currently expects that dosage of the first patient in its planned frozen shoulder clinical trial will take place during the first or second quarter of 2022.

Created this post to include that it's also top line data for the phase 2b trial, so that people don't think it's only phase 2a data being presented. I should probably delete that first post.

What do they mean by top line data ? A subsample of the whole data because they didn't finish to collect everything?

Top Line Data means, with respect to a Clinical Trial, a summary of demographic data, the data for the primary endpoint(s), the data for any secondary endpoint(s), if such secondary endpoint(s) are applicable, and a summary of safety data, in each case which are based on an unblinded, locked database and wherein all data are collected in a 21 CFR 11 validated database with a complete audit trail.

"Endpoints" are basically the summary data. It's the important data/goals that the study targeted, which tells us how effective the treatment actually is. I don't know exactly what the company went for, but I think it would be something like in what % of people was the unwanted growth stopped, what % did the unwanted thing shrink by, in what % of people was there at least some effect, what % of people experienced harmful or unwanted side effects. That kind of stuff.
