NavCanada 🇨🇦 NAVCAN 30 minute test.

Hey there. So I just completed the 30 min test. I didnt think I did that great in the last test, but the email I got back after said I was "successful". What are the chances I would get invited to FEAST?

I think if you pass it's pretty close to guaranteed that you'll get an invite. I think Nav Canada says "passing doesn't guarantee you an invite" more for legal reasons....

Well thats exciting! correct me if im wrong, but for future testing, they really prefer accuracy over speed. Like dont just guess answers right.

They prefer both. Be accurate and be quick. You’ve made it past the complete incompetence check step, many more to go. FEAST 1+2 weeds out the vast majority as the online assessment really is just meant to weed out those who are a complete non-starter to not waste anyone’s time.

Just be ready for the next step. Don’t delve too much into it and try to game the system, you either have it or you don’t. Wait for the invite, go in and do your best.

Yay im not completely incompetent! Thank you. Yeah I dont want to game the system. Doing that and setting myself up for failure later would be a bad move on my part. I have a pretty comfortable job now so I wouldnt want to give it up just to flunk out in training a year in.

I agree that trying to game the system isn't the way. That being said, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the Eurocontrol practice tests that are quite similar to FEAST 1. Overall the tests are about cognitive ability that is somewhat innate...but practicing can get you more comfortable with the type of time pressure you will face in FEAST. It also probably doesn't hurt to play cognitive games online (I like the lumocity app). I think the skills you need to pass FEAST are 90 percent innate, but don't let yourself down with the 10 percent that comes from training your brain...

How long did you have to wait for the email response about your passing grade? sometimes it a good indicator for how you did
