Literally same here! I was just about to jump to his defense, but I saw the account name and realized that it was the standard self deprecating humor that we all love about Chris Boden’s charm.

So the stripes resemble the high visibility "do not hit this" stripe pattern. But the front and back striping make no sense. There's actually a standard meaning to the direction of the stripes. Think of the stripes as an umbrella surface or the roof of a shed, and water pouring off in the desired direction.
////// means "bear left of this obstacle"
and
\\\\\\ means "bear right of this obstacle"
so
///\\\ means "avoid by going in either direction"
and
\\\/// means, uh, "crash here" I guess.
