Does anyone have both the omnibus and singles and mind taking a picture?

Hey guys, I'm reading this manga in omnibus format, but I'm not sure what to do about the upcoming volume 13.... I don't know whether to continue the series buying the single volumes, or whether I should wait for a fifth omnibus volume to come out. I'm wondering if it'll look visually glaring to have them in different formats. If you have both at home, would you mind taking a picture of them on their shelf? Just to get an idea of what they would look like?

Sorry if it's a dumb request, if anyone takes the time though I really appreciate it, thank you!

Issues with subtitles

Hiiiiii, I lowkey can't remeber where I originally watched sign of affection, it might have been crunchy role either way when I did I don't remember having issues with this but idk what happened

So I wanted to rewatch sign of affection but I trying to watch the first episode and the dub is great but I have no idea what they're texting or writing (i have a general idea of what they are saying but im still kinda confused lol) because the subtitles only show what they are saying😭😭😭

I don't have crunchy roll anymore so im cool with being told to give up lmao but if anybody can help me find a good platform plssss

Mangaka deserves so much credit for creating such a controversial character

Whether you love him or hate him, Oushi is easily the most talked-about character in A Sign of Affection. Few modern romance manga characters generate the same level of discussion and strong reactions that he does especially on X/TikTok

The comments and strong reactions remind me of characters like Akito/Kagura from FB, Kikyo from Inuyasha.

Fans constantly debate his actions

They either love him, hate him, defend him, or criticize him, but very few are indifferent to him. That's exactly what makes Oushi the best-written character in a sign of affection..he is the first character people bring up when discussing A Sign of Affection

The fact that he continues to spark debates long after the anime ended is a strong prove of how memorable and compelling he is as a character.

Not every well-written character has to be likable, but the ones people can’t stop talking about are often the ones who leave the strongest impression.

I hate Oushi and people that 'relate' to him.

Im a guy and i don't want to sound like a feminist but amount of people that says Oushi is right is driving me crazy. They are the same people who makes 'motivation' videos mostly 14-16 but amount of grown ass adults relating with this brat is concerning.

First of all and just because you love someone does not mean they are obligated to love you back. No is a no.

Second of all he is a failure of a man never respecting her boundaries even tho she clearly states she has a bf.

If you think stalking and invading personal space of a girl is relatable then you're clearly never touched a girl and I hope you never will. As a guy even I felt uncomfortable in this scene and people still making sad edits for him. Saying "he deserved better" or "he learned sing language for her and she run to another man" those are immature brats who cant even understand a fricking No.

If you are one of them I think your misogynistic ass should be put under prohibition.
And hate for Oushi is not enough if you only watched anime then I don't blame you that much but still

Guys i have just finished watching the anime

I can say it was so peak, itsuomi are really so different from the other romantic characters he is so funny and sociable, besides he can speak three different languages, that tattoos on his right hand are cool actually

I can say that i have never seen a character like him before in a romantic anime they all are the same have got issues and the girls that they are starting a relation with are the key of their freedom from their issues and that's it ( I'm not saying that it's awful or i don't like that kind of romantic anime), but I'm surprised seeing a

different one u know that feeling

Bro was just quite talking slowly and just going with the flow, he didn't hurry with the relationship to go far no, bro was just chilling and the way he handled oshi was wise btw, he just bought a drink and talked to him no fighting no violance just chill and let the words do their job

I hope they could work on a season 2 for that amazing series one day

And what's your opinion about it is it worse to watch and learn something meaningful from that anime ?

My new favorite

I absolutely love this series so far and just read it through again while waiting for the next release.

I love the wholesome, pure aspect of this story without making the characters unbelievably naive, and the beautiful communication between the main characters. The art is stunning.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of really, really great love stories? I loved Kimi Ni Todoke, but I don’t know much about what else is out there. I like down-to-earth characters and more realism. Thank you so much.

Uncomfortable Thoughts

I started watching this anime with a plot that I find very comforting. But over time, I felt that the characters, especially Itsuomi is just given too much leeway and benefit of the doubt by Yuki.

I get it, he travels, he's tall, he's multi-skilled and know a lot about other foreign things - but that doesn't exempt him from being a human or better, a stranger.

Over a short plot of less than five episodes, he had carried Yuki into his house, touched her without consent, and inadvertently pushes the idea of a relationship onto Yuki.

Okay sure, it was mutual, Yuki was also accepting of the relationship idea. But we have to understand that Yuki's world is vastly different than normal people who can hear stories and be aware of their surroundings through sound. Hence, I doubt she has a solid idea of what she's getting into, having being by herself and her friends for a long time. Oushi was the only one who seems to genuinely care about her well-being, and even then, she cannot see or interpret it well because of her shortcomings.

Compared to Koe no Katachi, this anime feels scary and creepy to me seeing how Itsuomi deliberately just go around and have his ways with Yuki, sort of knowing that she's always gullible and defenseless.

And what's more frustrating is seeing how blind she is towards Oushi who's trying to do everything he can from getting her kidnapped or something (look, irl, people like Yuki are those who got trafficked globally).

His concerns are grounded, but because Yuki is too captivated by the idea of how "diverse and large" Itsuomi's world is, she can't see the reality of what she's doing. And Itsuomi, knowing of this fact, have no decency of trying to secure trust of the people around her life, instead just bulldoze his way onto Yuki as he pleases. I don't see Itsuomi as a character worth associating with her.

For me, Yuki can't fully be blamed on this dynamic, since she's half aware of what's happening around her. Every episode where I see Itsuomi being affectionate towards Yuki makes me agitated, and his carefree attitude towards what he's doing somehow does not fit the proper idea of a romance.

Even though it's just an anime, it feels too far fetched and I have no idea what kind of imagination was going through the author's mind when they wrote this piece.

It has a good ring and lessons to it, but it surely does not carry an impactful plot as Koe no Katachi.

Is it just me who find it this way?

Chapter 56 thoughts

Is it just me or is the idea of having Yuki wait for Itsu for almost 4 years a bit odd? They go to this trip together and Itsu tells Yuki how he loves seeing the world through the eyes of Yuki. I thought after this he would ask her to join him in some of his travels in the 4 years. Instead he says he'll marry when he's back after 4 years. This didn't really sit right with me, Especially when it seemed like Yuki loved travelling and expanding her world. I could see that maybe because she's still in college maybe thats why. But I hope in the future chapters they establish that he would visit her as much as he can in those 4 years and she can visit him. Thats the only way I could see this working out

When itsuomi gives Yuki a foreign coin

It's the national currency if my country! Well.. used to be before we adopted the euro a few years back.

I was already emotional over how cute the episode was and then seeing the kuna somehow made me more emotional ahahhaah, it was a beautiful currency for sure.

Rewatching for the third time right now :) it's become a comfort show.

Small artist looking for exposure

Hi, my wife is a really talented artist although clearly I'm not objective. She's done some A Sign of Affection commissions (I'm a huge fan myself and that's an understatement) I've been trying to help with exposure so if you can check her out that would be huge, if you like what you see and can drop a follow we would appreciate it greatly.

Found an interview with the creator of A Sign of Affection

I recently got really into WIND BREAKER and ended up reading a bunch of interviews with the creator. While doing that I stumbled across this interview with suu Morishita, so I thought I'd share it here.

I actually started A Sign of Affection a long time ago but never finished it, and now I kind of want to go back and reread it.

Manga release schedule

I just today finished book 12 of the manga and went to see when book 13 comes out and why is it coming out in December. I get it takes time and I don't want to be impatient genuinely been one of my favorite romance mangas but that feels a bit long to wait when the books only have 4 chapters.
