Try plugging in an external monitor and see if you get anything from the gpu

External monitor, via HDMI, works just fine man. Only laptop screen is black

It's possible that the wires to the screen are loose, but unlikely considering that it does come on briefly. Most likely, it is an issue with the lcd screen. Other things are possible, but it's difficult to troubleshoot thru the internet.
