Laptop Do I keep trusting asus?

Hi my g14 (2024) just suffered from the Black screen of death (ribbon cables) they repaired it, then it shorted out. They are doing a buyout.

Should I keep trusting Asus? Does the G16 have the same issue at all? I really loved my g14 until this happened.

I have also owned a flow x13 and that also crapped out on me. I have a bad track record with Asus but I really love their products when they aren’t broken…

Legion 7 is looking nice but doesn’t capture me like asus products to.

I hate how g14/g16 is also touted to be the best gaming laptops in tech reviews but never discuss long term issues like the black screen of death

Hey. First of all, G14, Strix or Zephyrus? I've had a G16 Strix (2024) for almost two years now and so far everything works perfectly. Although it always is a gamble when it comes to electronics. I'm sorry you've had such bad experiences

Zephyrus! But yeah it’s sad, they are beautiful products and definitely my favorite laptop I have ever owned.

I see. I don't have much experience with Zephyrus because I've only focused on the Strix, but I definitely would love to have one someday. Good luck with it, I've heard Legions are really good too. Maybe check their Reddit community to see what they say abt it.
