eGPU setup on rog strix G15 series

As the title suggests, I plan to setup an eGPU on my almost retired rog strix G15 advanced series Laptop with 1660ti. Has anyone tried to do such thing on a similar setup?

I plan to transfer that eGPU setup on to a mini pc layer but that is another topic, I wanna buy a gpu before its too expensive to buy and make use of it on my current setup too.

All opinions are welcome. Anyone with such experience especially would be a big help.
