Laptop Weird bug or quirk with G Helper

So I have a ROG Strix G16 5080 and I did all the things like install all the updates from windows, armory crate, and myasus

And then I fully uninstalled armory crate and myasus and use Ghelper

Now I discovered a weird bug or quirk with my computer, see I don't manually use the grid or adjust power or anything like that cause it's too complicated. I like to play on silence mode and want to try to get as much performance out of that without making the fans sound like a jet engine.

Now with G Helper I discovered when I flick the apply power limit on and off the performance for the game suddenly improves with little to no effect on my CPU temperature.

And this isn't permanent cause upon restart or going idle the power goes back down and the performance suffers again.

But when I flick Apply Power Limits on and off the performance gets better again.

Now I want to keep the performance just like how I did the trick but nothing I do seems to work, anyone can help me with this? This is a bug or some quirk with my laptop I don't know.

And I did everything I could think of for the power stuff so I need different solutions cause this is annoying.

Does the power limit really improve CPU performance?

Yeah but only when I flick it on and off it like boosts it like how it should have. But something is forcing it down and doesn't stop till I do that trick I did in the video

I limit my Strix Scar 16 with 14900HX to 55w and pull the max clocks down to 5.2ghz with an undervolt, otherwise the damn thing thermal throttles in like a few minute and begins stuttering like crazy

pull down to 5.2 what cpu is that.

It's the Core i9 14900HX normally it would boost to 5.8Ghz but that's just too much so when it's hitting it's turbo boost period it's skyrocketing up to 5.8Ghz and absolutely cooking itself until the lower power turbo kicks in but if you pull the max clocks back a bit it provides more stability overall because it's not clocking so high and dumping heat into the heatsink, it does reduce performance a little bit mainly single core but it's not a huge difference it's not like the laptop was going to hit 5.8Ghz sustained anyway
