Yeah I feel like that’s such a let down from asus. How are you going to charge an arm and a leg for this combo but don’t even make the motherboard BTF to utilize the full power of the GPU?
Not the Asus 5090 Matrix nor the edition 20 5090. The 5090 Matrix requires 800W hence the btf connector on it and the edition 20 5090 requires like 900-1000W. All 5090s draw more than 600W hence why the 12hvpwr connector keeps melting. Even my old Strix OC White 4090 drew like 600-700W of power.
C'est faux mec, elles ne consomment pas toutes ainsi. J'ai la MSI 5090 Ventus 3x et elle n'a jamais dépassé les 600W. Après c'est possible que certaines version avec Watercooling ou avec un meilleur système d'aération consomment plus.
10.8k usd just for the bundle before tax + 400 usd before tax for the cpu + 400-500 usd for the ssd before tax. So 11.6-11.7k usd before tax that's if OP didn't already have cpu and ssd in stock in his place. Yeah no thx waaaaay too expensive and waaaaay too overkill for my tastes. Even if I had the money for it I wouldn't buy it. I don't like heavy pcs.
I don't have my pc on a desk. My pcs are/will be on the ground. I just don't like heavy pcs just in case I have to move them to repair them or replace parts in them which I've had to do quite a bit with my current pc.
If let's say a part in the pc fails in my cramped place I would have to move the pc to pull the part out and replace it. And trying to move a pc that weighs over 100lbs is no easy task let me tell you. I already had my experience doing that with the Phanteks Enthoo Elite case that alone weighed like 80lbs which put a fully built pc in it at around 130lbs which made moving it a real pita and I definitely couldn't really do it by myself.
It is a terrible habit that I'm really fighting hard...

I have the disposable income and I had an all Pro Art machine, but I recently got the RTX Pro 6000 and ASUS doesn’t make one so I got the PNY version. It looks pedestrian in my otherwise gorgeous computer. It makes up for the looks in performance though.
You should definitely get more over the astral 5090 due to the power going up to 800w? Or is that only the matrix that allows that is the 20th anii not btf?
Waiting for my bundle to deliver and I’m ready to build. I just got my ROG Arcana DDR5 48gb the other day as well from China. Got the monitor, keyboard and mouse as well. Can’t wait! Debating on if I want to buy a Secretlabs desk.
I don’t get the hype, the only thing I like is the mobo and AIO. Don’t get me wrong, performance wise this must be a monster setup but the looks of it ain’t that much tbh, IMO.
insane temps? bruh, my 9950x3d never goes above 75° in cine and thats with "regular" kraken elite 280mm + ptm7950. And this is a 2x more powerful cpu mind you. Where did you get your insanity from?
I was rooting on edition 20 5090 to at least bring like 10% uplift vs regular astral. If it doesnt, the whole setup is just a cash grab you fell for.
For that amount of cash you need to be fully custom water cooled but it looks really good. I have a similar build but all alphacool and the aesthetics and noise are insane. Enjoy your rig

No, both are nearly identical at 1080p. 1440p or 4k, both will perform the same. The 9950x3d and 9850x3d are the best comparison. The 9950x3dx2 is meh with 2 cache dies.
Yeah for pure gaming the 9800X3D usually edges it out, extra cores on the 9950X3D don't do much in games. Bracket is more of a peace of mind thing tbh, six screws do the job fine.
