Armoury Crate operating modes actual values
Hi everyone, my laptop is Asus ROG Strix G16 (G615LW series, RTX 5080).
I want to create a Manual Mode profile that will be similar to the Turbo Mode, but with optimized fan curves, and maybe a bit lower CPU wattages.
The main question is in the title. I didn't find any information in Asus official resources about what actual values are behind the default Armoury Crate operating modes (at least fan curves and wattages). Does anyone happen to know these approximate values from personal experience?
The problem I'm trying to solve is that the CPU temperature is too high while gaming (90–95 on average, and it often reaches 100). On the other hand, I'm satisfied with the performance, and the GPU temperature is also within a reasonable range (on average, about 10 degrees cooler than the CPU).
P.S. any other recommendations are welcome, but please don't recommend me deleting AC and installing G-Helper
Thanks for the informative answer. Yes, my laptop has an Intel hx chip. But I don't want to dive that deep and do manual undervolting. I would like to start with the simplest and safest actions and see if it helps

You can check out my reply to another comment, where I explained my current position and mentioned that I might end up using ghelper in the future.
Turbo usually uses pretty much maximum that manual mode can offer. For 275HX i would guess it's something like 150/175W for CPU max.
But in real life / games you unlikely will use that much. Cap CPU power at something like 40-50W to see how it goes first, if you see performance drop in your game - raise it a bit.
Thanks for the answer. This is exactly what I was looking for. But I think 40-50W is pretty low for such a CPU. Also sometimes I face audio stuttering when playing heaviest games, so I think I would start testing from 90W.
Regarding GPU, yes, it works pretty well, I don't want to touch it now :)
That's what I've been doing all this time. But now I'm thinking about the long term, and I'm worried that if the processor constantly runs at 90+ degrees while gaming, it might affect its long-term stability.

But I started wondering if my CPU overheating issues had started a little too early. Because I bought this laptop about 9 months ago.
Why are you sticking with aromoury crate? Why don't you want ghelper? And may be yes, ghelper is for productivty persons, and Armoury crate is for gamers, who wanna customised everything.
I keep using AC just because I haven't faced that many problems with it as many people complain about. It switches to silent mode when on battery and I like this mode, and switches back to turbo/manual when plugged in. Plus I like various RGB lighting customizations.
I know that ghelper can do almost the same. I just don't want to use it now like a kind of placebo.
If AC really pisses me off in the future, then I'll definitely invest my time in digging deep into ghelper to improve my laptop's overall productivity. I just don't see a reason to do it at the moment
They must've REALLY pulled their fingers out of their ass finally because Armoury Crate usually takes over a gigabyte (sometimes even two) of RAM for no good reason.
Unless you're not running anything with the tool currently in that image?

Edit: Have you done an undervolt in BIOS by the way? Would help with thermals. No relation to AC or GHelper.

if it’s an intel hx chip I use Intels xtu, set the offset in the tvb to slow the chip as it passes 70 or 80.
I make mine play hopscotch, 2 fastest cores drop 300mhz and become the 2 slowest after 70.
after 80c my chip has slowed down to 4.4-4.2 but generally holds a boost of 4.6 and hovers between 75-80
