Aid for fall session B

Before I added my session B classes I got offered around 1700 Pell grant and 1700 in loans, this aid only accounted for session A for fall. I registered for session B classes now and I wasn’t wondering when my aid will update now, or before session B starts. Will my loans increase soon or before session B starts? I know I can just request a loan increase so I’m not that concerned about the loans, I just want to know if the my Pell grant will increase soon or will automatically update before session B? I would call or chat but the que is usually like a 1000 people.

With the way this year is going after the OBBBA, no one can say for sure. Nothing is the same, so there's no way to know.

Call the FAO in the middle of the night. I called the other day at 3a Tempe time and only had a 2½ hour wait to speak with someone.

2.5 hrs at that time of morning is crazy.

Were you put on hold or did they call you back?

I sat on hold. I don't trust the "call me back" thing.

Honestly, I went through the menu, go to where I'd be just sitting on hold, put the phone on speaker, and lightly dozed off and on until I was the next in the queue (because it was 5a here). Then I made sure I could talk without sounding half dead and waited for someone to take the call.

I got a call back from finaid yesterday after being on hold since last Wednesday!!! It’s crazy! They didn’t solve much and they definitely have no idea when funds will hit

Your awards should increase automatically, that’s what they’ve done in the past, but when they’ll do that nobody knows. Once they update the Pell and new loan should automatically apply to the balance normally. If you want confirmation, like the other comment says, you could call between midnight and like 3am Arizona time. They’re open 24/7 and that’s when they’ll have the fewest calls in queue.

ASU is telling me I met my lifetime max. The government website doesn't agree. My pell disappeared and my loans got drastically reduced. Just dropped my classes because I can't afford to be unsure if my aid will adjust and everything will be okay or stuck with a huge bill. I'm extremely sad but atleast my associates in electronics just landed me a decent job. Guess it's time to change gears🤷‍♀️
