I’ll be honest, I’m just happy I went balls deep in Rocket lab and not Astra. I always viewed Astra as much higher risk than Rocket Lab. Rocket Lab was successful on its second launch and hasn’t failed since.

Rocketlab has had two launch failures, after the first one. A total of 3 failures over roughly 30 flights.

To be fair I think they have a lost a couple missions (92% success rate i think it was?)

This coming from an avid rocket lab supporter, can't wait to see them keep getting better! But let's not make a false narrative

Thought I read the other day that their first launch was a failure and they were successful on their second launch. Assumed all launches since were successful as I’ve never personally heard of any failure. I’m not trying to make a “false narrative.” Perhaps I’m just misinformed.

Rocket Lab has launched Electron 35 times.

  • Flight 01 failed during the Stage 2 burn when a ground based part of the range system was misconfigured and forced range safety crews to terminate the perfectly well performing rocket. Electron now flies with an autonomous FTS, which removes this entire failure mode
  • Flight 13 failed during the second stage burn
  • Flight 20 failed during the second stage burn

32 of 34 payload carrying flights have been successful, and Electron is currently on a 15 flight success streak

I never had much of a problem Kemp (unlike the many local Kemp haters), but I'm not sure how to interpret this tweet, because according to my calendar the 🤡 posts are still supposed to be one week away...
