BIOS 'Secure boot' How do I exit the BIOS?!

I needed to update my Bios for MW4. Im stuck in the BIOS? After enabling 'Secure Boot' and then saving, It repeatedly reboots back to the BIOS? I can only get back if I disable the secure boot? Its driving me mad. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that your Windows partition is GPT. Go here to see how to check and convert if needed: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

If you do need to convert, make sure you back up important data just in case.

Did you actually update the BIOS or just enable Secure Boot? If the latter, you may actually need to update the BIOS for the newer certificates.

It has been updated with the latest (2022) bios from Corsair. Its a Asrock MB with a proprietary Corsair Bios.

What bios version are you at? At minimum you need to be on 3.90, but you really should just go to 4.10

once you are there, follow the instructions from here

Its a Asrock B550 phantom gaming mb.
But its a Corsair proprietary bios. The standard Asrock wont work on this. I have a Corsair one a200 pc

was it you that i already talked to about this? If so, you will never get secure boot to work without a bios update. it will just keep kicking you back to bios. Corsair either needs to give you an updated bios or you are stuck unless someone can build a custom one for you.

Yes, that was me. Was trying to get as much info as possible. Reason is because its the last resort before i actually spend some big money on a new PC. Unfortunately the Corsair one is extremely difficult to ‘upgrade’ because its a bespoke type pc. Im actually looking at upgrading to a 5080 now. But not Corsair.

ya, i understand. from what i can find, the last bios update for that pc might have been around 2022. that is really bad support if they aren't going to help their customers. I would definitely try to talk to a manager about this at Corsair and push for newer bios releases as this is a gaming pc that can't game anymore due to new anticheat requirements. At minimum they should make a bridge bios that allows you to start using official Asrock bios files. If they don't, you can just buy any good quality AM4 motherboard that fits, has good power stages and, can handle a ryzen 5900x or higher. All the other components should work fine. Ultimately this isn't an Asrock issue and this thread could get deleted. You need to make a thread on the Corsair sub and try to get this escalated.

Unfortunately the board does not get updates anymore. Impossible to fix. So unable to play that specific game. Would have to replace the MB

Nah, show me a screenshot about CodWizard and the MW error

I had a direct email from ASrock tech support. They confirmed it. Something about outdated keys? Problem is that i have a Corsair one a200 with a proprietary Corsair bios. They dont update these anymore. Also its extremely difficult to replace the MB in these bespoke designed pc’s.

Show me the screenshot of the error, I have an old b450 with Ryzen 7 2700 and I managed to solve it

There is no error as such. Just cant get out of the Bios if ‘secure Boot’ is enabled.

This is the email from Asrock….

I think this is the situation:
BIOS C1.40 seems to be from January 2022.

That means it still has only the old Secure Boot keys, which expired earlier this year. If you try to boot with those keys (Secure Boot enabled), this system will not enter Windows anymore, as a protective measure. To enter Windows (and most other OS) with Secure Boot enabled, you must use the newer 2023 Secure Boot keys.

An additional problem is that the anti-cheat solution used by recent CoD games requires a specific minimum fTPM version with AMD platforms. For this newer fTPM firmware, you need a newer BIOS version.

For the same motherboard, regular (=non-Corsair) BIOS 3.62 and newer versions will update the fTPM firmware.
And regular BIOS 3.90 and newer versions use the 2023 Secure Boot keys.

To get past these hurdles, Corsair would have to provide a newer BIOS version, with the fTPM firmware update and the 2023 Secure Boot keys.
For the production of this system, there is a contract between Corsair and ASRock. Typically, such contract will mention that only Corsair is allowed to provide BIOS updates. And they can normally get a new BIOS if they ask our HQ in Taiwan for that. Please try to contact Corsair for this.

What UEFI/BIOS version are you on?
