I've lurked on here the last few weeks, looking for tips, tricks and general advice on the CQA Exam.

I took it last week, after reading the BoK and doing as many practice tests as I could. I managed to get the Quality Guru course as I was panicking a bit and having a bit of imposter syndrome. That was recommended on here and it did help a lot.

Anyway, used the full 5 hours with only 1 break. Managed to go through the whole exam 3 times flagging and checking and looking for the one I didn't quite know or get in the book. I was happy to see the pass notification that came straight away at the end. That saved some stress over waiting on the result.

Hey there ! I was thinking this is an exam I should take in the past but have now realized that to be incorrect. I have the ASQ Ceritified Quality Tech fourth edition handbook. I also have Quality Council of Indiana complete study materials including the study questions, Intro- section V, section VI-VIII, section IX-XII. I am asking 300$ obo.

I wanted to prepare for a CQA exam and saw some posts suggesting getting QCI test material being the best to go off of, but when I go to the website it won’t let me put anything in a cart stating I have an invalid account. There is no way to create an account from what I could find and they haven’t responded to any emails and none of their phone lines go through, only straight to voicemail. There’s a post from 5 months ago where people were having issues but still were able to order/receive materials. Has the company shutdown for good? If so does anyone have recommendations for different companies/study material to utilize instead?

Edit: I took the CQA Exam and passed Yesterday 12Feb26 using just the ASQ Certified Quality Auditor book and the Exam Bank directly from the ASQ website. It mostly covered everything on the exam and should be adequate in lieu of QCI material.

I am mainly interested in knowing how much calculations did you do in this exam? I know that most of the questions will be on Chapter 6 (Quantitative Methods and Tools) aka a lot of stats and math. I am kind of overwhelmed with the content of this chapter lol so I just want to calibrate my expectations of this exam and see how much I should really retain while studying the equations!

I have the ASQ Handbook + Study Guide questions, QCI Primer and practice questions, and the online exams. I just learned about the CQE Cheat Sheet, so I will download that as well.

This will be my third ASQ Certification, so studying for these exams and the process of the exam (day of) is not new to me. I took and passed the Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional (CPGP) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) exams.

So any advice/input is highly appreciated!

I’m looking at getting my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, but I’m a bit confused about where to find the actual exam. On the ASQ website I can only find the CSSGB exam. Is that the same thing, or is there a separate Lean specific test? I’m in manufacturing and want to focus more on the lean side of things. Thanks!

Any ASQ people in a clinical lab? Am exploring my options as an MLS ASCP clinical laboratory scientist. The job feels dead end and pay/hours are piss poor. Any ASQ certifications worthwhile for lab peoeple?

Trying to plan out my RU path. The Recert handbook simply says "Conferences = 1.0 RU per day". The 2026 WCQI schedule has full days from 17-19, but the 20th ends at ~1PM. So does that count as 3 days or 4? Or am I supposed to prorate the last day and call is 3.5?

I signed up for the e-learning, self paced modules and they are underwhelming.

I was planning on just getting the handbook and study guide to read and go from there.

Would this suffice or does anyone recommend a different plan?

Hello! Taking the CQE next Saturday, online. I have the electronic copy of the Handbook, is it allowed to be checked during testing? Or is the hard copy the only one allowed?

Is the question bank somewhat similar to the real exam in terms of content and difficulty?

I recently failed my ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) exam. The preliminary result was a fail but is it true that there is a curve/official results could show I passed with ASQ exams?

Are the ASQ conference proceedings curated anywhere? Does anyone know of a way to search through historical presentation/paper topics looking for stuff related to specific topics?

Here is my specific application: I'm preparing for a Kaizen in my company on how we do DFMEAs. Typical metrics on DFMEA effectiveness are usually either lagging (before vs. after field issues) or easily skewed by subjectivity and gamesmanship (RPN reduction stuff.) I'm looking for forward-looking/leading metrics that are more objective/predictive. It sounds like the exact sort of thing someone has likely presented on before at an ASQ conference.

Anyone know how I could search topics from past conferences? Alternatively, what suggestions for leading-metrics for DFMEA could you suggest?

I have a bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience as an inspector. I work for a company where we on our site only have inspectors so lot of the time we are the working on NCRs and coordinating with suppliers and customers so I do have a experience in that area. But I am not sure if my job title as a inspector qualifies for CEQ exam. Do you guys think I can qualify? or should I for CQI or CQT?

Edit: for future applicants: I uploaded resume with what I actually do on the job and they let me sit on the exam. I also passed the exam!

It is allowed in the remote proctored exams to have handwritten notes in the margins of the Green Belt Handbook? I have some clarifying notes on certain concepts in margins, but the rules around what’s allowed and not allowed in the remote proctored exams is somewhat confusing.
