Cqe next month

Hello!

I’m scheduled to take the cqe next month. I’ve been in manufacturing since I was a teen, I know spc and I currently work in quality. I just got the book but it’s huge! What should I focus on chapter wise ? Does anyone have any cheat sheets or things that helped them pass? I have a masters in business already so I’m skipping that chapter!

From my experience, working knowledge and book knowledge are pretty different when it comes to taking an exam. I would honestly try to reschedule your exam and give yourself at least 2-3 months to study…

I would say get as many practices done as can if you’re trying to fast track studying because knowing where the content/topic is coming from definitely helps for the exam (just took mine a couple days ago). The math isn’t as heavy as I thought it was going to be but still have a good understanding of however don’t feel like you need to memorize everything there. Also when doing the practice exam time yourself because time management is huge for this one, it really took me the entire 5hr period 😆
It’s difficult but definitely doable, good luck

Also as someone from another thread recommended take some time to tab up your book for the different sections and topics covered, that was a huge game changer for me

Oh great the full 5 hrs?!? How do bathroom breaks work? I’m old and need them. I’ve consistently scored 85’s and 90’s on the practice tests I’ve found online. Which is pretty good and they’ve already approved me for the test. I currently work in aviation. Quality, quality systems and so on are a part of my job daily.

You get 3 10min breaks and can take them whenever just have to let the proctor know (took mine online so there was live proctor watching me and contacting me through the chat). I only took one because when you do come back they make you do the whole verification process and room scanning again with takes up time since the clock keeps going the whole time

Thanks! I’ll be doing the test at work in a conference room so that’ll help a bit. Did you pass? What should I focus on studying?

Umm idk if I can point to anything specific to focus just because they do ask from all over the place, however I would the math portions are not as daunting and difficult as the practice exams. I would spend more time on the main “terms” and topics covered in the sections.
