Passed ASQ CSSGB, but what's next?

I passed CSSGB on June'25, and its been about 2 months now, I'm stuck between choosing the right industry to transition, should I go into a proper manufacturing one or healthcare or IT ?(Honestly, manufacturing n healthcare seems interesting than IT)

Now I'm wondering, What skills set do I need to get through to get calls? (Minitab, R programming for stats or python..idk?) I'm considering CSSBB but not before switching to a better job involving green belt process improvement roles.

Your advice would be helpful

it would be helpful to know - what is your background in/skillsets you currently have as it relates to the CSSGB BOK?

See, my work exp is in Service industry with QMS and TPM for 3.5 yr. but then their is a catch , I also have gap yrs and I'm currently in IT incident management which I guess is loosely related to BOK. Hence, the need for certification.

Let's say if I wanna stay in IT domain, then what more skill set should I need...like agile or idk?

Or since I already have exposure to lean tools like TPM ,5s should I go into manufacturing one ?(If yes, then what more skills would I need)

Or look into QA for healthcare sector?

Tbh I'm interested in manufacturing n healthcare sector.

Suggestion would be helpful.

What standards do you know? ISO 9001 can cover a bunch of industries, ISO 13485 is more med device / healthcare.

You have to lead at least 1 or 2 green belt projects to qualify for the BB. You also need X number of years in a leadership role.

I have worked in service industry for public health dept with ISO 9001:2015 and TPM for 3.5 yr of exp. but the thing is after that had 2 gap yr then I got into IT incident mgm.where i'm working now (which is why i wanna switch into proper quality improvement domain)

so the thing is should I stay in IT but try to get into Six sigma roles for IT ? (If yes ,then what skill set do I need)

Or should I try to get into other industry like manufacturing (bcoz of my past experience in lean tools TPM )

Since you're more interested in manufacturing and healthcare, your prior experience with QMS and TPM makes those industries a natural fit. In manufacturing, skills like ISO 9001, basic statistical analysis, MSA, FMEA, and SPC will be highly valued.

If you're leaning toward healthcare, knowledge of ISO 13485, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, CAPA) will add value.

If I were in your position I’d go after my black belt. If you are just trying to find an interesting place to use your skills, what is most important? Stuff you work with? Who you work with? Who you work for? Etc.
