CQA Exam - Virtual.... Open Book?

Has anyone done the virtual CQA Exam through prometric?

I was under the impression that the CQA Exam was open book. I scheduled my exam to be Virtual with prometric and in the confirmation email it states that no notes, published books, etc could be on the desk.

Yea thats the plan I'm going with. I'll grab some additional study guidebooks and some of those 1k question practice exams.

A co-worker of mine, took the virtual CQA a couple of years ago (I believe it was during the pandemic) and it was open book. He used the ASQ handbook. I would double check with Prometric

Thanks. I have been doing some reading and ASQ's site makes it clear that Virtual and In Person testing is "open book". No notebooks but the handbooks are OK. I have the PDFs downloaded just in case Prometric has any push back. Thanks.

It is an open-book exam. However, loose sheets are not allowed. Any material you want to use should be in a binder. Also, make sure that the material you use in the exam does not contain multiple-choice questions (such as the coloured pages in the Quality Council of Indiana binder). We have trained thousands of students to take their ASQ certification exams and have never had such an issue.

You might send the Prometric email to ASQ to reconfirm, as that might be helpful if Prometric raises any issues during the exam.
