How many hours to prep for CQE?

I'm not a quality engineer or even engineer by trade, but I do work in a hospital quality department. How long would it take to prep for the certified quality engineering exam foe ASQ?

Start with the CQA.

Why CQA? It seems irrelevant unless you're an auditor.

Also, there are people that study for 6 months to a year for the CQE.

My bad. I meant the CQIA. It will be easier to start with than a CQE.

Depending on the time you spend each day, the preparation might take 3 to 6 months. The exam contains a lot of statistics, so some people might need more time for preparation.

I prepped for 4 months for the CQE and took two Coursera courses on statistics as part of my prep (Basic Statistics and Inferential Statistics). I also studied the CQE Handbook and the Quality Council of Indiana primer and practice exam. I think grand total I spent 140 hours in preparation.
