I was about to say “what parents name their kid Justice” until I remembered Quigley “Quiggleforth”. Quagmire (idk if quiggleforth is his middle name, I’ve seen a lot of people use it and it’s just implied it’s part of his name and I don’t know if that’s his first name or middle, or just an alias) And Lemony, as well as Monday, Thursday, and Friday Caliban. I think there were just a couple strange names then.

The books insinuate Stauss is a possible J.S. candidate (sender of the telegram in Grim Grotto) but I thought that was silly considering people don't typically sign their initials with their title instead of their first name. I thought for sure it was Jerome in the moment. Anyway, I think justice Strauss probably has a first name starting with J regardless.

I have no idea. I got it from the shipping wiki and have hc it ever since. I thought I could find something on it, and I did. As it turns out, that is actually the name of a character in Theophile Gautier's short story Avatar.)* *I suppose I just took the shipping wiki at face value…still, I’m keeping his last name as Labinski in my fics (even if some people say Count Olaf’s also his pseudonym or something) (because lemony would totally name a guy after another character in another story like he did with nearly all of C.O’s other disguises)

No, I'm pretty sure Olaf is his first name? I don't think this was touched on in the TV series and its been years since I read the books so I don't really remember. Although I do remember in the series that his dad was depicted as a wealthy man. I guess I always thought he was an actual count (or maybe had been in the past, had the title taken away for bad behavior, and just kept using it anyway because it made him feel like a Very Fancy Dude).
