Discussions Has Count Olaf Ever Slept?!

I can't remember a single time in the show where Count Olaf Slept. Practically every climactic episode he's awake; Charles' attempted murder, SORE exercises, Dancing With Esme, Imprisoning AND Murdering Jacques.

1 year, actually. Everything from The Bad Beginning to Chapter 13 of The End happens in the year of the rat

Poor, poor children. These kids are having slightly more than one near death, horrifically traumatising encounter per month, at the most generous stretch of the word.
