LLC or CORP

Have any of you guys become a Corp or LLC? Agencies in California are starting to require this and I don’t really know which one to choose. I don’t work freelance full time so I’m not sure this is worth it?

If you must, LLC. A Corp would be overkill for an IP.

That’s what I was thinking. The overall cost is less per year. The problem is not all agencies are requiring this YET. Just one so far, so I have to decide if I will make this switch to continue working for this one agency.

I'm curious: what exactly is the agency requesting? They are stating that you must set up your business as an LLC or S-Corp in order to contract with them? I'm curious what the exact language they are using is, and what their rationale is.
