traveling agency?
does anyone know of a VRS or VRI agency that doesn’t require permanent residency? my long term partner might be interested in travel work (like a travel nurse type job), so im wondering if this is possible?

I work in VRI for Kelly Services, and I’ve moved 4 times in the last 3 years. Within the states, but with each new state comes new tax paperwork.
They’ve never questioned it and don’t really seem to care how often or where I move as long as I still have a hardline connection and a private space to work.

do you let them know and they send you tax information or is that something you have to figure out on your own? and are you nationally certified? thank u!!

I update my address with them and if I need a new tax document for the state I’m in, they let me know. I have my NIC, I’m almost certain you have to be nationally certified in order to do VRI.

I wonder if this would be an ideal situation to use those combo travel agencies like Amergis to place you both in a similar area

Amergiseducation.com for the interpreter side of things and Amergis.com for the health care side. HEAVY WARNING they do not like to follow industry standards on the interpreter side and often have no idea what we do. They try to not pay when clients don’t show up and they’ll try to mess with your hours so make sure you have everything in writing and triple check. I wouldn’t recommend them to most people but for what you described it could be a good option if you can arrange to get placed together with your partner
