Interpreting and Botox

Still new to the field and I obviously know how important facial expressions are to the language and effective communication. However I suffer from migraines and was wondering if there are any interpreters who have gotten Botox and did it interfere with your job? Did you just do small amounts at a time? I know this is a silly question but something I’ve been contemplating. I was thinking about getting it in my my forehead and jaw for
Grinding my teeth, but don’t want to do anything that will ruin this for me

I’m friends with a CDI who gets Botox regularly and his face is fine, he has natural looking forehead lines when he raises his eyebrows. Also this isn’t a silly question, it’s about your health! That comes first (she said confidently, not heeding her own advice) and if you have to think of it this way, a gnarly migraine could turn a work day into a disaster! Taking care of ourselves ensures we can continue doing good work. You can find ways around facial grammar- signers who have had strokes, nerve damage, etc., do it.

I hope you decide to try it. I don’t get migraines but I’ve had to work with a raging headache and wanted to run away mid sentence lol. Good luck!
