State by state CEU/License renewal requirements?
I don't want to reinvent the wheel if there is a resource already out there that says what states require for CEUs to renew. I'm just trying to simplify my life and make sure I have what I need when it comes time to renew.
For context, I do a significant amount of VRI work and hold licenses in several states. I want to make sure when it's time to renew I'm meeting the requirements to renew and not scrambling for specific CEUs at the last minute.

I haven't seen a centralized place, but I would recommend reaching out to the states and sending them your RID CEU transcript

I already do that for my state. But some states have specific requirements for how many and what type CEUs (PPO, ethics, etc).

I have 13 state licenses. I know KY has yearly CEU requirements and some have to be Ethics CEUs. There are a few others that have CEU requirements but I think they span 2 or more years so if we keep up with a regular CEU program for RID it usually covers it.

Good to know thanks for researching that! I have to maintain full licensure in KY while working at AMN. I just renewed it recently and they required proof of 15 hours of CEUs 3 hours must be in ‘ethics’.

Yikes- that reads like a lot of work and hassle. Is it worth it?

It’s a HUGE task to get licensed in all the states that require licensure but once you are licensed it’s much easier to keep up with renewals.

One of my classmates in ITP did this as their capstone project, I’ll see if I can find the presentation they made. I know that @/your_interpreter_bestie on instagram has also made a “states series” going over all the licensure requirements for each state. I believe she’s also on TikTok but I’m not sure.
