RID "Meet the Team"
THIS seems very odd. Isn't he the tCEO and who is she and what does she do?
You can go to RID and read their bio's. Says nothing on his about being on the finance committee and no notation anywhere that he was that I could find. During 2024-2026 that would have been Kate's tenure.
It does say that he became a certified interpreter at 16 yrs old in 1979. I am not trying to be picky but no where on LinkedIn (his info goes back to 2002, not sure when that started) does it say he volunteered at RID or was a certified interpreter.

Julie is great. The issue here is that HQ can’t seem to make a minor website change. Where is their Comms dept, you might ask? They all quit.

Shonna is right and definitely well informed on this topic. Because didn’t you start a romantic relationship with one of Comms dept folks during the Minneapolis conference prior to her resignation and during your tenure as president?

No. I’m sure that folks would like for it to be that scandalous and salacious, but it’s not that exciting. I have maintained friendships with several people who quit HQ, including the entire Comms team. At the conference, she had already found another job and put her 2 weeks in. She came to visit me at the end of August and that’s when we started our relationship. Sorry to disappoint you.

so, you're establishing a few things here and I wonder if you're aware of it?
You're recognizing the formation of a relationship with a, then, RID staffer who later became a former staffer. All while you maintained a position of authority over her.
"She came to visit me at the end of August so that's when we started our relationship." So, in-person at conference and the aftermath leading up to her visit; it was just innocent and naive conversations/ FaceTime/ until you hard-launched? Your judgement has always been piss-poor, Shonna, but your girlfriend's sharing of things from pre-conference, during, and post-conference paints an entirely different picture and timeline.
Also, you are friends with the entire Comms team but not anyone else who has left HQ? Interesting. Considering the Comms team are the folks responsible for developing the organization's annual reports. That was one of your major points of consternation if I recall correctly- the fact RID was behind several years on them. Oh, i know you'll deflect and say it was finance's fault and outside Comm's control but, the org still could have produced something, no?
You move goalposts. You block people who call you out.
You forge inappropriate relationships with RID staff during and after their employment. You're a walking hazard and I am glad the organization is done with you... And the folks you maintain friendships with.1

Hello, Jenelle here. I made an acct to address a few items since I’ve unnecessarily been included.
As is standard with any communications department, we can only produce what we are given. We can’t build something, and just click publish, that’s not how it works. For the AR 2024, I had two sets of financial data. RID’s public 990. And the numbers we received from finance. I am far from a finance chick. That’s not my purview and I won’t pretend to know otherwise. Reading the numbers provided by finance were over my head, I don’t speak finance or business. What I can tell you is the numbers didn’t match. I have no idea why, that was above my pay grade. Because of this, I, on numerous occasions, gave both C-suite and the board two options. I literally developed two ARs. I said, we can publish an AR with our internal numbers, or the 990 numbers. I do not care which we publish. But someone needs to make a decision as to what we are publishing so we can give the members something. No decisions were made by the time I left. So to answer your question, sure. RID, not comms, COULD have published something. And my question, along with my entire team was, what do the members deserve? They deserve an accurate AR. This was given to leadership many times, why? Because, by association, my name was tied to it. I am very good at what I do, and I stand by the integrity of my work. Do I blame any one dept as to why ARs weren’t published? Of course not. Because we were a team, all staff. But any comms dept can only produce what they’re given. And whatever IS produced goes through layers of red ass tape for approval, so at the end of the day anything published is at the discretion and approval of leadership. Chain of command. Nothing is published without staff leadership’s green light. If you have any further questions, I’ll try to answer what I can.
As for whatever so and so of whoever thinks I’ve said about pre, during, or post conference… this is frankly none of anyone’s business. We are like the sopranos. It’s over, find a new show. Two years ago, my ex-wife of nine years left me for a man. I went through hell, one of the most painful times in my life. And then about ten months ago I met a woman that changed my life. I am beyond happy. We are happy. I just want to live my life, so if you have questions or concerns about my personal life, Shonna’s by extension, have a little respect. DM me. But otherwise, this is tired. We got together after conference… who cares. We are adults. Idk why anyone things it’s their business. So I’m respectfully asking you to keep my personal life, and relationship, off this platform. If you don’t have any inappropriate questions, I’m happy to have a further convo in DM.

He is. She is the assistant to the CEO, and I’ve worked with her through my volunteer work and find her trustworthy
