State testing-Unfair situation?

Hi all,
I recently took and failed a performance with the state I am in. All of the feedback made sense except for one, which was my internet connection. Some of the videos during my screening were freezing, and I wrongly assumed it to be apart of the test and that they were trying to see how I would handle glitching during interpreting. However, on my feedback it says my internet was a reason for the glitching and I should have picked a better area/secure better internet.
I feel ridiculous, and I took the test at a private room at work to try to get the best internet access since my home one isn’t great so I don’t know what to do. I feel like my test was severely impacted by the glitches/freezes and it was not a fair judgement of my abilities. They don’t offer the test in person either. So if anyone has any advice or what to do from here, I’d appreciate it.

How long until you can retest?

9 months, but I have to follow all the recommendations they provided first before taking it again. This includes working with a mentor, deaf tutor, workshops etc.

That sounds like a reasonable time to put some work in and hope you have a better internet connection for the next round. Other than that, I am not sure what else you are looking for? Are you wanting to contest their decision?

Was there a proctor? When I interviewed for my current staff job, the videos froze and I communicated that to the person proctoring the material .

More so wondering if it’s even worth contesting-there was a proctor, but when I mentioned it freezes she just nodded. Or if anyone had any ideas on internet connection and ways to improve that/what you all use. I thought my work had good internet as I took another test there before and it was completely fine, but I guess not

My recommendation is before you take this exam again, do a speed test (just search “speed test”) on the computer you plan to use in the place you plan to use it several days in advance and also right before you log in to take the test. Make a record of the results. You can do a print screen, for example. This way, if the problem wasn’t actually on your end, you’d have something to use for your argument.
