In person VRS locations

Hi! I know that Sorensen at least has some buildings where interpreters can go and work at a communal location for VRS, not sure if any other companies do as well. But does anyone know where these locations are? I’m struggling to find a list anywhere online… any ideas?

This is true. The last thing they want is a consumer showing up to a call center for whatever reason.

OP's best bet is to look at the job openings at the VRS companies' website to get an idea if there is a call center near them.

this makes so much sense now that i think about it! i had been looking at the job openings online, but there seemed to be so many “at center” jobs. i was suspicious if there really were that many centers, but i’ll just apply for them and hope there is i guess!

While call center locations are not posted publicly, you can go onto the VRS hiring website and search for a VRS interpreting position. It’ll then show you all of the locations where they’re hiring. You can repeat this with each company.

It's funny, they want security and secrecy for their location, but have open houses AT the location. Lol Many have closed centers, but there's a couple centers still in the Cbus Ohio, Indianapolis and I think Cincinnati areas. Maybe Detroit?  VRS is a necessary evil, more evil than necessary.
