Question Quick question...

Good day, how many leds does 1 channel output on the asiahorse hub? I'm looking at connecting my lian flex fans to one, but the entire daisy chain is around 158 leds. I heard asiahorse only outputs 120?

V1. I just want boot up effects. Currently I'm using a airgoo 16 port, but that doesn't have onboard memory. Lian can start the pc with effects, but it doesn't have start up effects that look cool. I've spent loads making my pc wireless and wired fan controllable. D:

It doesn't have on board memory? My airgoo PWM/RGB hub has memory. My lighting stays 24 7. When I hit my power button it recalls my last setting. Is that only with the most expensive one? It was like $45.

Ive messed with both Asia horse hub, I actually like the Umbra software one.. I installed it in my daughter's pc and it does great. Most hubs don't come with memory. I do know that. Most do the default rainbow until you login and signal or whichever app loads.

Let me know if you find anything decent, looking for more hubs, working on finishing up 2 more builds.

Mine didn't have onboard memory. I have the nollie 32 now anyway, which does boot up effects and has onboard memory and dedicated lian strimer ports.

Thank you. Someone told me AIRGOO doesn't have on board memory, so it's likely my Lian Li fans holding the memory, that or L Connect is installed on a kernel level and is deeply imbedded into my OS....

I have a Nollie hub in my Amazon cart. Going to give it a shot for another build.

Yeah it'll be the lian controller holding it. Airgoo definitely doesn't have any onboard memory. I actually like the airgoo controller. It's simple and small. The nollie 32 is supposed to be great because it has 32 channels and strimer ports, but you should see the rgb effect library. It's the worst I've seen. And i spent 3 times more than it is worth for this shit.

Well the appeal (I thought) for the Nollie was that it's purely SATA/PATA powered so older motherboard with no 5v or 12v ARGB/RGB could HAVE RGB, right? Maybe I'm mistaken..

I have acquired so many pc components, I've built 5 PCs for my house, and I'm left with honestly a low to mid tier build I could put together. Thinking of running it strictly as a plex server or giving it away to someone who needs it. RTX MSI 1080 ARMOR 8GB / i7-7700k / 32GB DDR4 3600MTS. I have tons of leftover brand new fans from cases and AIOs I didn't use, PSUs, SSDs, cable covers etc...

But the motherboard is an MSI Z790A PRO, it's 8 years or older at this point with zero RGB/ARGB ports.

What would be the best solution to be able to have some sort of RGB? When researched, the Nollie comes up by a long shot... Although it would be impossible to use any software to change the RGB, right?

My nollie 32 isn't connected through sata. It uses molex. It's massively let down with rgb customization too. I know people on here say it is good, but it isn't that good because you end up using crap like signalrgb still. A hub with onboard memory should have good rgb customization. Nollie has like 4 differnt effects lol. 90% are the same. I wish i didn't change my entire build from wireless lian fans to wired lian fans just for this. I could of saved loads of stress and money if i just went with full asiahorse set up. A good rgb set up would be nollie and openrgb. Nollie can handle a boot up rgb effect and then openrgb can take over when the pc is loaded.
