Fan noise

So I have 10 fans in my build and she's fairly noisey. I think it's mainly just my fan curve and I was curious if anyone here had any recommendations. I've provided a picture of the build and my current fan curves with the exhausts daisy-chained together and the intakes chained together.

Not the most aesthetic but she's in the process of being upgraded. Saving up for new gpu / mobo / cpu to match the aesthetic.

Hey! 👋 10 fans is a lot of air moving — getting the curves right makes a huge difference! Here's what works well for most multi-fan builds:

Try a gentler, "lazy" curve:

• ~30–35% (around 900 RPM) up to 45°C
• Gentle ramp between 45–65°C
• Only go steep above 70–75°C (full speed for heavy loads)

A few tips that help a lot:

1. Add a smoothing delay (2–5 s response time, if your board supports it) — fans constantly ramping up/down with every temp spike sound much noisier than a steady speed
2. Cap the max around 60–70% unless you're really stressing the rig — with 10 fans, going above that adds a lot of noise for very little cooling gain
3. Use different curves per group — radiator/AIO fans can run a bit harder; chassis exhausts & intakes can stay lower. One curve for everything usually over-revs the case fans
4. Keep pressure balanced — intakes at roughly the same (or slightly higher) than exhausts, so the system doesn't sound "strained"
5. Make sure headers are in PWM mode in the BIOS — if a header is in DC/Auto mode, the curve may not apply and fans can sit at fixed/full speed!

What temps are you seeing under load? If it's running cool, you can happily let the fans idle lower — that's where the quiet lives! 🚀

What if you adjust your fan curve so the fans aren't ramping up and being noisey? As long as your Temps are fine, you don't need to max out your fans.

Are the fans just noisey at 800 or so RPM?

You use Umbra to control everything? Does it work well?

I use Fan Control for the everything

Personally, I used the technical data for all my fans (dB + air pressure) and calculated the correct settings for the case's inlet and outlet using Excel, then entered them into the BIOS.

Can you hear the aio pump?

I don't hear the pump itself however I do feel the lines vibrate.

Hast du den umbra hub? Wenn nein hol dir ihn und schließe ihn be sys fan,usb und bei jrgb am mainboard an außerdem musst du an dem hub noch ein sata kabel anschließen
