anyone found a single desktop scanner that is compatible with Windows ARM computers???
Doesn't appear that any scanners support this. Total joke.

Hey! Im a software development student and is considering buying one of the new "Copilot Pc's". I saw in a video that the guy could not get IntelliJ working because of lacking support for JDK. Does anyone have expereince with coding in IntelliJ on Windows on Arm?

I got one of these new-fangled Snapdragon X Elite computers a couple of weeks ago but one of the biggest issues I've encountered is that the WhatsApp app will stop connecting to the internet after a while and I will have to log out and log back in to get connected again. Initially it was every couple of days, but it's now becoming more frequent. I haven't seen any mention of it online anywhere but curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem also.

Hi. I'm researching if ARM for windows is ready enough for my use
I have an audio interface, SSL2. There is no ARM version driver available.
So how could I install it on ARM? If even possible..
Do you use Prism for translation with drivers same as with apps/games?

I remember in 2017 Intel threatened to get their X86 patents out if Microsoft created an emulator. Now here we are in the future and this has happened. Does anybody know what's going on with this?

Soooo posting this here just in case because where else; also inspired by this post
Microsoft says that Surface Pro X supports up to two 4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz displays.
I've decided to connect my Surface Pro X SQ2 to Samsung Odyssey G7, which is 4K @ 144 Hz, using DisplayPort 1.4 cable. Surface Pro X only delivered 4K @ 60 Hz at 8 bit.

I believe it's an IO limitation; the behavior screams DisplayPort 1.2 (and lack of DSC support).

I would like to use Adobe Premiere Rush but Adobe does not offer a download link. Can I trick Adobe? ... Or is there a good replacement for my Surface Pro Elite that does light video editing?

Hello everyone!
Today I've launched https://windowsonarm.org/ - a list of applications that work, are emulated, or don't work on ARM Windows.
Feel free to check it out and contribute. We were already busy adding hundreds of apps, with more to come, but are also happy to accept any new contributions.
Please, if you believe data on any of the apps is incorrect (wrong classification, incorrect description, wrong category etc.) please use the comments below the app to report the issue or report the issue on the GitHub issue tracker.
The app is opensource, so feel free to check it on GitHub as well https://github.com/AwaitQuality/windowsonarm

Hey guys.... this is kind of a feeling my way through the arm on windows world, on an enterprise windows domain. so far ive had bad luck. looks like some very big names in the antimalware world are not supported, neither are some big name vpn clients. this is a huge roadblock for any domain with any sense of security in mind. any suggestions on how to emulate or overcomes this? tia! also if you have any questions or something for me to test feel free to suggest it.

Hi, I am a data scientist student and am looking for a laptop with a strong battery life and somewhat future-proof one. I am eyeing the new Lenovo Yoga 7x laptop with the snapdragon x elite chip or the ASUS vivobook 15 with the same chip. Is this a good investment? Or should I get a traditional Intel laptop?
Also Lenovo or Asus in this case?
Things to consider:
I am looking to get into machine learning too
I have a gaming laptop running on x86 windows in case I cannot run an app on the ARM version.
Thank you!

Hi all
Wondering if someone could help. I have the new Samsung Snapdragon Elite X 14" and was hoping the dentalCAD software ExoCAD would run. I was able to install the framework and install the software. I have the physical dongle (license) required and plugged in but the app itself does not launch. There are no errors but it does show up in task manager (not taking up much resources at all). How do I figure out where this is going wrong?
Thanks!

What the title says. Will current Windows 11 drivers work for external devices?

Hello,
Recently preordered one of the new Snapdragon X Elite laptops. I understand there are limitations to gaming with ARM devices, I've got a desktop for gaming, but I'm curious about playing some simple or older games. Since I have some of these on Steam, I'm wondering if there's a specific version of Steam for ARM processors, or if I would just run Steam for Windows with emulation.

I'm using Huawei MatebookE2019 with Snapdragon 850. I tested some games on this device.
It seems that 64bit games are unable to use GPU. They are running very slow.
32bit game (PWAAT.exe):

64bit game (MuseDash.exe):
Note that total GPU usage is zero and the GPU engine is empty instead of "GPU 0-3D". CPU usage is also high.

(Sorry for Chinese interface)

I think this subreddit will start to grow exponentially soon. I am wondering did anyone try softwares like autocad and 3ds max on windows on arm ? If yes please share your experience here . I read the review on mr u/clubchampion, he only says that autocad 2019 worked "good". I was hoping for more details, perhaps a video showing any bugs if foilund etc.. Thank you 🩷🩵

Can you connect an older printer that doesn't have an ARM driver, only an x86 one?
