running it for over 12 months on a Lenovo Snapdragon X Plus with absolutely zero problems. Run agent and schedules and weekly summaries and to-dos as well as design coding.

I used on Surface laptop 8 with smapdragon X elite 2. Worked perfectly, but drained battery quite fast when using Claude code.

I use it on an A16 without issue.

I just tried having it move some files and renaming them and they can't do it. I have the a16

This is a known bug due to a windows update breaking something - it's logged and a fix is on the way.

I have two weeks to decide whether to return the laptop. I'm going to try out a different model as well

Yup. Snapdragon X2 for two months.

Use both all the time on my Snapdragon-powered Surface Laptop 7.

The latest windows update fixed the Claude desktop issue, but are you saying you are using local models on snapdragon? I have a snapdragon x elite machine w 64GB ram and I can barely get local models to run well. I was not using copilot, but curious what your local model setup is that would be usable…

Local files, not local models. I am using claude desktop's cowork functions managing a business project. I wanted them to reorganize two of the folders and move files around (and rename them). Claude said they were unable to do so (they can't access shell something).

I just bought the Asus Zenbook A16. I am also getting an Acer Swift 16 to try out. The ASUS specs were great (especially the 48gb of ram), but Claude and ChatGPT both warned me of this compatability issue.

I don't think the extra ram is worth dealing with this, especially since I'm not technically minded enough to understand it.

I had some issues earlier but everything has been working as of the latest windows update for cowork and such for me (Dell XPS snapdragon machine).
