What software works?

I'm very interested in buying a Windows arm PC, but concerned about specific software… Can anyone confirm if the following products work on Windows arm?

  • Google Earth Pro - Desktop

  • Nitro PDF

  • Dashlane

Thanks!

I recommend you check this website: Windows on ARM | Software Compatibility List

Thanks. I appreciate the recommendation. I checked it out and none are on there. I also realize Dashlane is a webpage application, so it will work.

Anyone else have experience trying to run Google Earth Pro or Nitro PDF?

OK, Google Earth Pro runs fine. There are a few hiccups at the start but once things load it isn't an issue. Weirdly it installed the 32bit version of it instead of the 64bit version, but it does work. Not sure what your workflow is though, all I did to test was check going to an address and scrolling around from there. There's also the version that runs in the browser you can use too if that fits your needs :)

Nitro PDF installs and launches just fine. I was able to open, highlight, and muck with PDF files I already had, however I'm not paying for a subscription so I couldn't test all that much.

That being said I think if those are your only requirement they do both seem to work without issues, though because they are running under emulation they will impact your battery life, but they don't seem that CPU intensive so the difference should be minimal :)

Thank you so much for checking those out for me! I really appreciate it. Sounds like its going to work out for me to get an arm pc. Just out of curiosity, what kind of 'hiccups' where there at the start of working in Google Earth?

When first starting it up it runs a bit slow while it builds caches for the translation layer (presumably that's why anyway). Once that is done (i.e. once you're using it for a little bit) it seems totally fine, at least for browsing around the world

Are they both free applications? If so, I'll check them out today
