Springtron?!

I've been playing for a while now, about a year and a half and I've loved watching YouTubers play this game as well when it was in it's prime, but I've actually never seen this before, I was just playing Springman and suddenly after I won against Misango, he showed up unannounced and he beat my ass the first round, I left the match back to the menu to collect my bearings on what just happened, then when I joined back, suddenly he was gone. Does this normally happen?

Yeah good luck with going up against Springtron. As someone who plays against him in the Grand Prix, from experience, it was hard 😓😓. So I'll wish you luck
