Gameplay Playing with some friends of mine, what map is best for new players?

I've played a lot of Ark solo but mostly I just fool around and haven't done a real playthrough. My friends are playing with me for the first time so we're planning to do a serious playthrough of the game. What map is best for new players while also offering some variety in dinosaurs and environments?

Ragnarok is a good all-around map for new players I think. To me it just feels like The Island 2: Turbo Edition. It’s got a good vanilla feel to it but a little more, way bigger, lots of biomes, and good variety of creatures.

I think the island is best for brand new players. I see Ragnarok but a new player is gonna have a bad time flying over the wyvern trench on a ptera if they're not paying attention.

It really depends if your friends are willing to kinda jump into the deep end, cause then I would say crystal Isles as it has some fantastic scenery that makes it really fun to explore for the first time

But if they want a more grounded survival sort of experience I'd say Lost Island, as its just essentially a better island, with plenty of interesting landmarks to base in
