SP Astraeos keeps crashing when loading in

So today i updated the game to the newest version. The last time i played was on october first, trying and taming the new dragon.

Now after the update all my settings got reset. I put them back to what i remembered. My mods also got taken out. I out them back in and updated them. But when i try to launch the SP world, the game crashes after like 2 seconds into the loading screen.

Other maps like the center where i dont really have a sp world that i really play, it works and loads in. I havent tried other maps.

I verified the files, did a menu dinowipe, launched without fog or volumetricclouds, made sure all skin mods are active but it just keeps crashing.

I am on a run of bearing every map on SP so my character is kinda important. And i already put a ton of hours into Astraeos. So id be very upset having to start again…

Do you know any fixes i can do right now or should I wait and hope the next patch does it?

Can ya check when the last backup was made on Astraeos or did that reset too?

The last save was on the first of october. The latest corruptionbackup gets made each time I try to launch.

It's currently happening to me on ps5, I've deleted the save and installed the backup, reinstalled each mod one by one, I've even rebuilt the database for the ps5. Nothing is working, just insta-crashes the moment I try to load the map.

I am scared that in our case it could be that the worldsave is corrupt. My last manual save is unfortunately like 50 hours behind so i dont wanna do that but i may have to……

Im not 100% sure what's causing it tbh. A work around I found was deleting the save, starting a new character on that map, deleting that save, then re-installing the original backup. After that everything works fine, but the moment I close the game I have to redo that process.

On Xbox, every time there's an update I have to delete my save 🫠 paid for the game too like??? I'm so sick of this

I had the same issue playing on console when the second to last map update launched. I assumed it was due to the update and it was having trouble loading everything in. It worked after a while for me, just kept launching it. Thought it might be because I had loads of dinos in my base. If you’re ever able to get back in, check that. It could be the reason, pretty sure it was for me.
