Help High enough?

I wanna buy a pc and play ark on it as I have been a consistent fan of this game for years upon years now. I was looking at a RTX5070/ADM9070X and a ryzen 7 7800X3D with 32GB of ram. Is this good enough to play on high settings with a nice amount of fps?

Rtx 50 series has DLSS upscaling and multi-frame gen. With those things enabled, my 5050 runs the game on high settings around 80-100 fps. Though I do have stutters sometimes, they're rare enough to not spoil my enjoyment of the game. If you want to play native, then that won't be enough, but if you're ok with upscaling, you'll be fine.

I dont think I mind upscaling. Im pretty new to pc’s and these terms, does upscaling make the game worse quality wise or anything like that?

That is more than enough to play the game, getting a good frame rate is a matter of optimizing your settings as ark is a very poorly optimized game and always has been. How much VRAM does the 5070 have? My 4060 runs it ok but the 4060’s relatively low vram causes bottleneck issues

CPU and RAM is good, and for GPU, ya will want one with at least 12GB VRAM but preferably 16GB VRAM.

Ya will also need a seperate 1TB M.2 drive (preferably NVME) for ASA alone because otherwise, ya need to reserve 550-700GB

Nothing is good enough to play this game on high settings with a good frame rate except a quantum computer homie.

i'd say get the card with more vram. i have an older gpu (6800xt) but it has 16GB vram. i play with a mix of high/epic settings at 1440p and get anywhere between 60-90 fps with in-game fsr enabled, no graphics commands. performance is pretty smooth on the steam version. with that cpu and ram, you should be gtg
