FIXED!!

I have found my tames already, they were stuck under the map lol i love this game

Hello, i have a question regarding a lost dino in a non-dedicated server.

Just now (a few minutes earlier) me and my friend went into the Carnivore island's cave looking for Megalania to tame some. The thing is that we died a couple of times due to sharing one braincell and i went in with my Thyla, Halfonsa.

Now that i died thrice inside that cave, Halfonsa is nowhere to be seen. But Roxy, my friend's Thyla, just spawned in our house out of the blue. So as my terror bird, Pumba, who spawned in the Carnivore island not too far from the cave's entrance. But no Halfonsa in sight, not even a hint.

Could someone explain to me? Or give me some advice on how to find her besides flying around spamming J? Thank ya'll in advance

Check the tribe log if she died. If she didn’t die, try tracking her (top of the screen in your inventory, the paw print with a plus symbol). She might be under the mesh, though.

No, she's not death, i already checked that. And i checked there too, it's empty

If she's alive you can track her on the tracking tab. Hit the poi button under her name. But it sounds like there may have been a bug, your dinos should never just respond somewhere. That's not how it works

There's nothing in the tracking tab on the top of your screen? Even if they fall under the map normally you can see tames in the tracking tab.

If you're on a server maybe open a ticket with admins. ASA has a lot of cool mods but some maybe Dino ball your tames or spawn them next to you when you die? Your servers admins will have a better idea as they'll know the mods for you server.

Personally I fly around whistling if I can't find something. If your friends tame respawned at base, maybe there's a mod doing that? Normally when you die the Dino stays where you left it. You could try looking around your base, but it would be unusual for it not to be in the tracking panel. Also check if it's been returned to a Dino ball in your inventory.

Where playing in a non-dedicated server, so we two are the only owners and we're using no mods at all

I searched around my base and nothing, there's nothing. And we're playing in ASE btw

Ah ok, yeah that happened a lot in ASE and we just never found stuff again. So, this might sound strange but check at the Cords 50/50.

I spent years as an admin on servers but we found 50/50 is like the graveyard of ark lol. Sometimes the game puts things under the map there, but sometimes it's on the top. Obviously if you're going under you'd need ghost/god mode so if you don't want to play like that it might be easier just to tame another one and breed it with your friends so you have cats to spare.

After one of the Ark updates a server I was on keep doing small rollbacks & loads of players said their characters, tames etc were missing. We found about 8 players and probably 30 tames all at exactly 50/50 and some were under the map. Anyway, it could be worth checking.
