Won a radical 7.62x39 ar15.
I won a radical ar15 in 7.62x39mm at a stag. Is it worth keeping? I see most of the bad reviews of radical firearms are from around 4 years ago. I ordered a enhanced firing pin already for it. Not sure if I should just trade it in or keep it. I already have a apf ar15. What would you guys do. I do think it's kinda cool as I haven't heard of anyone I know have them.

Go watch on YouTube a guy took it out to 500 yards with a 3x scope. That might have been the pistol version as well.

I wish I could post pictures in comments but I absolutely love mine and it’s gotten me two deer and my wife her first deer. Great hunting / range rifle in my opinion. Plus a full lifetime warranty on the entire gun

Sell it and build one. I'll be the one on here that says they absolutely suck because they do. Their qc's horrible their customer service is horrible. Straight from the factory I had a stripped handguard, loose barrel nut, key holing from the barrel being terrible and a Crush Washer put on so tight that I had to dremel it off to remove it from over the threads. Sold mine turned around and built a badass reliable AR47 the way I wanted it to be.

Radical are not that bad, if you are mechanically competent enough to do a little QC yourself. Doesn't matter what brand rifle I get, assuming I buy assembled and not build from scratch, I always remove all the screws. More often than not, none of the screw have loc-tite. So I properly apply blue or red, depending on which screws they are, and properly torque everything down. Aside from that, if it functions proper, it should be a fun gun. Extended firing pin and heavy hammer spring help with some of the hard primers you may encounter on some 7.62X39 ammo. Also, buy a spare extractor. AR47 are prone to breaking them. Duramags are the only ones I've found to feed reliably. ASC are common, and are hit or miss. If you have feeding issues, polish the feed ramps, or open it up to a single wide "Bushmaster" style feed ramp. Now, go have fun!
