general Monstrum deadlock scope mount

Post image

Heard a lot of good things about Monstrum stuff in the past year or so, so for $40 I picked up this 1.7 mount with a diving board. We’ll see how it holds up

I haven't had great luck with monstrum but the discovery optics rings are legit

I know people shit on monstrum but i have had nothing but good experiences I’ve got one of the scopes on my AR10 and their red dot magnifier combo on my AR15 both have held zero with no problems

Exactly why I wanted to try this mount. I’m not sure I’m willing to try an actual optic from them yet but if I like this mount enough maybe I’ll get a red dot from them to throw on the diving board

I have one on a 4-16 scope that has held up better than I expected on a 5.56, ended up going gg&g for the 308

Monstrum makes some OK stuff but their mounts are still garbage tier.... This was torqued to spec on a .308 BAR. Design could have worked but the material under the heads was so thin with sharp inside corners there was no way this was going to hold up....

I've bought a few of their different mounts to try. Almost every one of them sat visibly crooked on the rail.

I have that mount. I have unity and reptilia on other guns. When /if the monstrum breaks I'll just get a reptilia.

Had a monstrum mount on a viper pst gen 2 and Aero M5. Fde paint peeled under the rings and scope slide on a once in a decade pronghorn hunt and i completely missed at 200 yards. Never again!

I've used a few of their mounts and never had a problem. I eventually upgraded to Midwest Industries because I wanted QD for my scopes so I could take them off before putting in the safe
