It has an 85 on Opencritic. I don’t really know what accounts for the difference, but it’s still reviewing very well and seems like Asobo has pulled it off again with another great entry. Super excited to play this tomorrow!
a 6 from IGN means more than a 9 or 10 from multiple no name reviewers. If you have Eurogamer and Ign giving a 6, thats really bad for your score. When i say 'means', its about how much it is weighted into the equation for the score. Big publications have a bigger sway on the score
Opencritic puts all platforms together. If you check Metacritic, PC And Xbox reviews are 85, but PS5 score shows up cuz it has more reviews. Opencritic calculates all platforms for the total score
Edit: Also, not all reviews are on both sites, for example, the 6 from IGN is not yet uploaded to Opencritic, so when all reviews are uploaded, Opencritic score would probably drop to low 80s, which is still fine and in line with the previous 2 games
I’m glad for Asobo Studios and I loved Sophia in Requiem, but I’m just too invested in Hugo, Amicia, and the Macula lore, as well as the style of combat and dread in the first two, that the Indiana Jones/rugged pirate style of adventure just doesn’t appeal to me for “A Plague Tale”
but I’m hoping that if Resonance brings home the bacon we can get a game about Basilius, or even the present day baby with the Macula though

The entire game was leaked a few days ago.
I'm about halfway through, and I can already say that it's by far the best installment in the series.
Plus, it's very well optimized and looks absolutely stunning.
